We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative Construction Manager to lead our aerial and underground construction projects in the Las Cruces area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems in real time, and keeping projects moving smoothly from start to finish.

You’ll oversee day-to-day field operations, support both in-house crews and subcontractors, and help ensure our work is safe, high-quality, and aligned with customer expectations. Responsibilities

· Serve as the primary point of contact for construction progress in Las Cruces.

· Provide clear, timely updates to senior leadership.

· Develop project schedules, coordinate resources, and keep all stakeholders informed on progress and percent-to-completion.

· Oversee daily project activities, including safety, traffic control, DOT requirements, damage mitigation, and fleet coordination.

· Act as the subject matter expert for your projects, helping identify and resolve issues as they arise.

· Manage reporting, invoicing oversight, and As-Built documentation.

Qualifications

· Experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager in telecommunications or a related field (3–5+ years preferred).

· High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, telecommunications, or related field preferred.

· Preferred certifications: OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, NCTI, FOA Fiber Optic, SCTE.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· Ability to pass a background check.

Skills

· Strong understanding of fiber architecture.

· Knowledge of aerial and underground construction materials, tools, and processes.

· Familiarity with:

     o Aerial fiber construction

     o Underground construction (drilling, plowing, trenching, missile, restoration)

     o Fiber splicing procedures and documentation

· Ability to analyze and interpret project data.

· Strong communication skills across all levels — field crews, leadership, and customers.

· Experience leading employees and subcontractors.
